- Sexual dysfunction
- Decreased libido
- Decreased muscle mass

What are the advantages of Hormone Pallet Therapy?
- The hormones are directly absorbed into the blood without the involvement of first line metabolism (liver and gastric system).
- Hormones are available to the body all the time (24/7).
- The pallet usually lasts for 3 to 5 months.
- You do not have to worry about applying gels or creams on daily basis.
- Researches have said that this is the best method for sexual functions and making your brain more focused and clear.
- Your body controls the release of these hormones. When you’re at rest, your body absorbs less hormones. And it absorbs more hormone during stress and exercise.
“Of all hormonal replacement modalities, only pellet therapy can provide hormonal balance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
(DR. MELVIN ASHFORD)
What to expect on the day of appointment?
There must be so many questions wandering in your mind, for example:
- What attire should I wear?
- Is this going to be painful?
- How should I prepare for it?
- What is the procedure of pallet insertion?
At Anytime Primary Care Clinic, we provide patients the opportunity to communicate with us directly. We will thoroughly discuss the procedure for bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. We understand you will still have questions before coming for consultation. So here we will explain the whole procedure for you.
Procedure of Hormone Pallet Therapy:
We will take your blood test to find the proper amount of hormones for you. You should stop taking blood thinners like ibuprofen or aspirin, at least one week before your pallet insertion. On the day of procedure, your doctor will numb the site of insertion, a small incision will be made and the pallet (about the size of grain) will be inserted. After this, the doctor will cover the site bandage. These pallets absorb best in fatty tissues so most recommended site is rear end.
This whole process will take about 30 minutes. Do not remove bandage or wet it in the first 24 hours. You can take bath after 24 hours have passed. Avoid vigorous exercises in the first week.
Consult your doctor if you feel pain and irritation even after two weeks of procedure.
A note from Anytime Primary Care Clinic:
Bioidentical hormones help people relieve their symptoms of menopause, andropause or other hormonal imbalances. The FDA (food and drug administration USA) does not authorize some of the bioidentical hormones. You should talk to your doctor about the advantages and consequences of hormone pallet therapy. Know that you do not have to live with uncomfortable symptoms of hormonal imbalance. Your provider can help you manage your symptoms.
